Vocatio's Story
Travel has profoundly impacted the faith of everyone working at Vocatio; we know what can happen on a pilgrimage. We are inspired by St John Paul II’s educational trips and believe that pilgrimage has the power to change your life.
That’s why we founded Vocatio: to ensure that something significant will happen on your pilgrimage. But every great journey starts with a great idea. We just make your idea into a reality.
Meet the vocatio team
To create moments for pilgrims to encounter Christ through Truth, Beauty, and Goodness.
Dallas, Texas

Founder of Vocatio and former high school theology teacher, Joseph brings a perspective shaped by seminary studies in Boston and Ireland, world travel, and a deep love for the Catholic Church. A proud University of Dallas alumnus, he is passionate about forming journeys that are spiritually enriching and rooted in purpose.
As he often says, “Pilgrimages, mission trips, and travel shouldn’t be an escape from reality, but training for how to live our daily lives— as pilgrims on this earth, journeying toward heaven.”

Enrique joined Vocatio in 2024 and, growing up in the rural Midwest, made the most of every travel opportunity that came his way. With experience leading groups to South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and across Europe, this proud TCU graduate brings a practical yet faith-driven approach to his work of connecting individuals with Christ through travel.

Raised in a missionary family, Emanuele understands the power of faith-filled journeys and often reminds the team that at Vocatio, we’re entrusted with one of the most important responsibilities: managing our travelers’ most valuable asset, time. After moving to the Netherlands at a young age and returning to Italy for an internship, Emanuele fell in love with showing the beauty of the universal Church through travel. Today, Emanuele leads our Rome office.

Pablo joined Vocatio in 2022, bringing with him a global perspective shaped by life in Texas, Spain, and Nicaragua. His passion for travel was born through years of personal pilgrimages and a deep love for the Church’s sacred spaces. At Vocatio, he lives out the belief that these journeys aren’t just itineraries or logistics, they're opportunities to experience God’s grace.
When he’s not planning group travel, you’ll likely find him snorkeling, building furniture, or missing a put or two on the golf course.

Born, raised, educated, and now working in Rome, Dr. Andrea Mangino brings depth and purpose to every journey he helps plan. A former seminarian in Ghana, he sees life itself as a pilgrimage believing you never know when or where you’ll encounter Christ along the way. When he’s not leading a tour group you’ll find Andrea playing soccer, DJing a wedding, or playing the guitar.

Raised between Rome and Austria, Chiara brings a deep love for languages, cultures, and faith to Vocatio. A recent Master’s graduate from Università degli Studi Roma TRE, she’s fluent in English, German, and Italian. Having found meaning in every pilgrimage she’s taken, she’s passionate about helping others experience the same. When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her at the beach.

Maurizio brings a wealth of experience and heart to Vocatio. A musician by trade and coffee industry veteran, he has traveled the globe playing the viola and witnessing the beauty of the universal Church. His most meaningful pilgrimage took him across the U.S. in 1993, ending in Denver, where he first encountered the story of his favorite saint, Pier Giorgio Frassati, whose life continues to inspire his own journey of faith and service.
