Marian Shrines

 DAY 1 FRIDAY

MADRID / CORIA / FATIMA

Meeting with the bus at the indicated time and departure to Coria; short visit of the city. After the meal , we will continue to Fatima. Upon arrival we will be able to participate in the Holy Rosary, Mass and the candlelight procession.

 

DAY 2 SATURDAY

FATIMA

In the morning we will do the Stations of the Cross along the Valihos road from the roundabout of the little shepherds to the little town of Aljustrel. We will visit to the houses of the little shepherds and in the afternoon we will visit the Shrine. Dinner at the hotel and candlelight procession.

 

DAY 3 SUNDAY

FÁTIMA / PORTO / SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

Departure for Porto. Upon our arrival we will enjoy a panoramic visit to discover this beautiful Portuguese city. We can see the Don Luis I bridge, the Church of Commerce, the train station, the Palacio de la Bolsa and the Church of San Francisco among other monuments. In the afternoon we will continue our trip to Santiago.

 

DAY 4 MONDAY

SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

In the morning we will go to Monte do Gozo, from where we can walk the last kilometers of the Camino de Santiago, arriving at the Cathedral and attending the Pilgrim's Mass. In the afternoon we will have a guided tour to get to know the city and its main monuments.

DAY 5 TUESDAY

 SANTIAGO / VITORIA

In the morning we will leave for Vitoria. Upon arrival we will have free time to visit the historic center of the city and take the opportunity to have some wines (groups 21 yrs and over).

DAY 6 WEDNESDAY

VITORIA / LOYOLA / SAN SEBASTIAN / LOURDES

Departure to Loyola to see the house where St Ignatius was born and lived in his early years. We will also visit the Baroque Basilica built by the Jesuit Order. After this visit we will continue to San Sebastián. We will take a walk through the old town, seeing La Concha Beach, the Buen Pastor Cathedral, the Town Hall area and the rest of the heritage of this historic city. In the afternoon we will leave for Lourdes. Arrival, dinner and accommodation. At night we will be able to make a first visit to the cave where the Virgin appeared and participate in the candlelight procession.

DAY 7 THURSDAY

LOURDES

This day is dedicated to getting to know the Sanctuary of Lourdes in depth. We will visit the Basilica of St Pius X, the Lower Basilica dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, the grotto and the rest of the premises of the Sanctuary. We will also have time to leave the Sanctuary and get to know the most significant places in the life of Saint Bernadette, such as the mill where she lived with her family, and the parish where she attended. In the afternoon, continuation of visits and free time

DAY 8 FRIDAY

LOURDES / TORRECIUDAD / ZARAGOZA

Departure to the city of Barbastro, where we can visit the Museum of the Claretian Martyrs. We will then visit the Sanctuary of Torreciudad and the galleries dedicated to the Virgin Mary. 

​

DAY 9 SATURDAY: ZARAGOZA / MADRID / CITY OF ORIGIN

In the morning we will visit Zaragoza, starting with the Palace of the Pottery, a monument declared a World Heritage Site that reflects the splendor of the Muslim kings who had it built . Then we will continue the visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, the first Marian Shrine in History. We will then be transferred to the airport to return to city of origin.​
